Assistive technology

All student PCs have MindView 6.0 and texthelp Read & Write 11 software installed as part of the standard student software package:

  • MindView is software that allows you to create mind-maps and visually organise ideas and concepts. It also integrates with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Read & Write is text-enlargement and screen-reading software. It can be used with a variety of different programs, including the library catalogue, databases, websites, and documents including PDFs.

Accessible workstations

Accessible workstations at All Saints

There are 13 accessible workstations with electric height adjustable desks within All Saints Library. The desks are easily identifiable by a blue triangular flag, as well as a sign on the desk itself indicating that they are height-adjustable.

All have either standard or high-contrast, large font keyboards (white/black or yellow/black) and either standard or ergonomic mice.

Accessible workstations are in the following locations:

Ground floor, West Wing Quiet Zone 1 PC - located behind the column opposite the door into the wing
First floor, East Wing Group Zone 3 PCs and 1 iMac - all located to the left of the entrance to the wing
First floor, IT Zone Group Zone 2 PCs - each desk is located at the end of a bank of PCs,

with one at each opposite end of the IT Zone

Second floor, East Wing Silent Zone 2 PCs - located opposite the entrance to the wing
Fourth floor Silent Zone 2 adjustable desks only - located in the middle section of the

wing, behind the glass partition, one at either end of the room

Fifth floor, IT Zone Group Zone 1 PC and 1 iMac - located in the top left corner of the wing,

overlooking the lower area of the floor
