You are welcome to bring a support assistant with you when you visit the Library. Your support assistant must attend with you and sign in at the help desk when you both arrive. Some agency support workers have their own ID card, which they should bring with them. If you wish to bring someone else to support you, eg a family member, then they can also sign in with you.

They should bring your University ID card along with a letter/email of authorisation from you, if it is an irregular occurrence.
Alternatively, you may nominate a support worker or carer to collect items on your behalf by applying for a support worker or carer authorisation card.
When borrowing material on your behalf, the support worker or carer must bring with them:
We do not offer library reference access or borrowing for support assistants – we allow access only to directly support disabled students.
