What are etextbooks?

Etextbooks are digital versions of your course’s core textbooks. You can read them online and download them onto multiple devices through the Kortext platform. Etextbooks are interactive, meaning you can make notes, highlight text, search for keywords, favourite your most used books and use accessibility features such as Text to Speech. The best bit? You have instant, unlimited access to your texts, so you can study whenever and wherever you are.

So, what’s the difference between etextbooks and ebooks?

The biggest difference between etextbooks and ebooks is how you can access them. Think of etextbooks as your own personal copy of the textbook, just one that exists on your device. You can read it whenever you like, no matter how many other people want to read the same book at the same time.

What etextbooks do I have access to?

The etextbooks available have been selected by your module and programme leaders and have been identified as being essential to your course.
