Who?

Students at goverment funded Further Education Colleges and Sixth forms with a current college/school ID card.

 

What can I access?

Print books and journals:

You can use our books and journals within the library.

You cannot make inter-library loan requests.

Online resources:

Students over 18 can have Walk in Access (WIA) to online resources from PCs within the Library. WIA gives you access to a limited range of our online services.  You need to register for this service during help desk staffed hours each time you visit the library. You will need to provide two sets of ID including photo and proof of address.

Access to Microsoft applications including Word, Powerpoint and Excel is not available.

For free visitor wifi choose _BTWi-fi_ManMet from the list of networks on your device and click 'Get online' on your browser.

If you are a member of an institution which has eduroam access you will be able to connect to eduroam in the Library.

When can I visit?

During our term time, you may sign in at the following times:

Saturday - Sunday  11.00 - 17.00

During our vacation periods you may sign in during staffed help desk hours.

Visitor access is restricted during our exam periods.  Please check the Library News for current information.

How do I join?

Please show your college or sixth form student ID card at the Library reception to sign in as a visitor.
