Employability skills resources

Preparing for employment

Books and journals

Books and journal articles are a great source of information for background reading on topics related to employability skills. You will find resources to help you prepare for your future career: from CV writing and interview skills to information about potential employers, private and public sectors and starting you own business.

Use Library Search to locate print and electronic books, journal and newspaper articles as well as other materials. Just enter relevant search terms into the search box.

Along with some suggested titles for print books and eBooks below, we've also created a reading list of careers and employability titles available from Library Services. We will be updating this regularly.

Browse a list of titles selected and compiled by the Careers and Employability Service. All titles are either available electronically from Library Services or are simply freely available online.
