Convert It! is an easy way to convert documents into a wide range of alternative media formats that work best for you.
So, if you have PowerPoint slides and would prefer them in a Word doc, or you want to convert a PDF into an MP3 file that you can listen to on the go, you can quickly and easily with Convert it!
Convert it! is great for supporting different learning styles, those with disabilities and, if you’re learning a foreign language, why not convert your file to audio to practice your pronunciation?
Converting your files is simple; it takes around ten minutes, it’s entirely automated and the documents you submit to the service are automatically deleted once they have been converted.
You do not need to worry about keeping your privacy as Convert it! does not store personal information. Please check your copyrights before you Convert It!

Welcome to this video by Manchester Met Library on how to use our Convert It! service.
The Convert It! service allows you to convert imaged based PDFs, JPEGs, PowerPoint presentations and Word documents into a text or audio file to make them more accessible to you.
You can use Convert It! Where you own the copyright - where it’s your own work.
You have permission from the copyright holder. Where the copyright has expired.
Finally, if you have a print disability or are working on behalf of someone with a print disability.
Convert It! Is easy to use. Start by opening the link to the Convert It! service.
Then choose the from the three ways to upload your document. You upload a file directly from your computer, insert a website address link for the document you wish to convert,
or you can copy and paste text directly into the form.
Once you have uploaded your file, you need to select the format that you would like your original document converted to.
You may select: MP3 Audio for converting text to an audio format; Braille; Ebook for converting text into a format readable by an ebook reader, such as a Kindle; Or accessibility conversion. Accessibility conversion allows you to convert inaccessible documents into other accessible formats, such as PDF files into word documents. Depending on which option you select, you will be asked further specify your requirements.
The final step requires that you to input your email address and submit your file.
Your accessible file will be delivered directly to your inbox within around 10 minutes.
