Whilst we hold a large number of books in print and electronic format, we understand that some of our books will not always meet your specific needs and you may require them in a different format, for instance so that they may be used in conjunction with appropriate screen reading software. We will attempt to acquire an accessible copy of any book direct from the publisher where you have a disability that makes it difficult for you to use printed texts.
You may request any print book using the Alternative Formats Service, but the library must hold a physical copy in order for us to request an accessible copy on your behalf. Please check the library catalogue before making a request.
Please note only eligible users may make requests using the Alternative Formats Service. If you are unsure if this includes you, please contact a member of the Disability Service.
*Due to the coronavirus, requests may take longer than normal to process and we may not be able to create digital chapters or books. However, this will be on a case-by-case basis and we will be in touch if we are unable to satisfy your alternative formats request.
