Reservations

If there are no copies of the book you want on the shelves, you can find it on Library Search and reserve it by clicking the ‘place hold’ button next to the listing. You’ll then receive an email when the book is ready to collect.

There’s a few points to remember:

  • We’ll keep your items on the reservation shelves for eight days.
  • You can reserve up to five items.
  • You can’t reserve reference items but can read these in the library.
  • If we don’t have what you need, you can use the Request It! Service.
  • Library Search will also show if an online version is available.

You may be responsible for the item’s replacement.

Laptops

Laptops

As well as books and DVDs, students and staff can also borrow laptops.

We’ve got 108 self-service laptops available to borrow for 24 hours in lockers on the First Floor East wing.

There are also 96 laptops available to borrow for 7 days from the lockers in the Ground Floor foyer.

These won’t be renewed automatically and you’ll need to return them to the self-service lockers.
