How to find us, how to contact us, how to tell us what you think!

Something not right?

Library staff are committed to delivering an excellent level of customer service at all times, and we hope you're pleased with the service you receive from us. It you think we have not done this for whatever reason, please let us know so that we can try to put things right.

Step one: Get in touch

In the first instance, please talk to us about the issue. You can:

Speak to staff at the Library helpdesk or to your Subject librarian at All Saints or Crewe

Email library@mmu.ac.uk

Phone 0161 247 6106

We will listen to you and try to resolve the issue, whatever that may be, as quickly as possible. We hope that the majority of your problems will be resolved at this point.

Step two: If you need to take it further

If you do not think that the issue is resolved and want to take it further, please ask to be referred to the Duty Manager/Librarian or one of the Library Service Managers.

The relevant manager will investigate your problem, and try to resolve matters to your satisfaction. They will:

  • Record the details of your problem to understand all of the context
  • Investigate
  • Get back to you with an initial response or the full outcome within 5 working week days

If your issue relates to something which is the responsibility of another part of the University, we will let you know. If you wish, we will pass on the problem to the appropriate manager, working together with them where appropriate to resolve the issue.

Step three: If you're still not happy

If you still think the issue is unresolved, please write to Ms Ruth Jenkins, University Librarian, Manchester Metropolitan University Library, All Saints, Manchester M15 6BH, who will review all the information and provide a written response within 10 working week days.

Confidentiality

All issues will be dealt with in a confidential manner. However, for them to be investigated fully and appropriate action taken, it may be necessary to disclose your identity as part of the process.
